Soulbound tokens so AI agents can prove they paid
A mobile app concept designed for the Blockchain at Berkeley design certificate: Soulbound Tokens act as non-transferable receipts so AI agents can verify payments to each other and to services. Delivered as a Figma prototype.
01
Problem
As AI agents start paying for tools and services on our behalf, there is no lightweight, portable way for one party to verify that another actually paid — without exposing the full wallet history.
02
What I built
- A mobile app concept where each completed payment mints a Soulbound Token: a non-transferable, verifiable receipt bound to the agent's identity.
- Flows for issuing, presenting and verifying receipts, plus an agent-facing verification API sketch.
- A clickable Figma prototype covering onboarding, payment, receipt and verification screens.
03
Technical decisions
- Receipts are non-transferable by design so they cannot be sold or lent as proof.
- Verification reveals only the receipt, never the wallet balance or history.
04
Results
Completed as part of the Blockchain at Berkeley design certificate.
05
What I'd do next
Prototype the verification flow against a testnet and a real agent framework.
